Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV), which rose 0.51% or 0.18 points to trade at 35.38 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) added 0.46% or 0.16 points to end at 35.28 and Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) was up 0.37% or 0.11 points to 29.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 5.61% or 0.2280 points to trade at 3.8380 at the close. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 4.95% or 0.27 points to end at 5.18 and Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) was down 3.26% or 0.175 points to 5.185.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 125 to 47 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 4.57% or 2.29 to $52.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 5.20% or 2.35 to hit $47.57 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.10 to trade at $1132.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1208, while EUR/GBP rose 0.58% to 0.7303.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.04.
