Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE), which rose 0.88% or 0.21 points to trade at 24.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) added 0.85% or 0.090 points to end at 10.700 and Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) was up 0.58% or 0.12 points to 20.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV), which fell 3.76% or 0.300 points to trade at 7.680 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HEL:UPM1V) declined 2.47% or 0.37 points to end at 14.63 and Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) was down 2.35% or 0.63 points to 26.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 64 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.50% or 0.73 to $48.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.26% or 1.04 to hit $44.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.30 to trade at $1103.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.1344, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.7353.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 95.17.
