Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 0.48% or 0.04 points to trade at 7.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.27% or 0.11 points to end at 40.82 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was up 0.17% or 0.07 points to 41.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 3.14% or 0.146 points to trade at 4.500 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 2.48% or 0.77 points to end at 30.25 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 1.82% or 0.072 points to 3.886.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 111 to 67 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.48% or 0.04 to 7.36.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.98% or 1.04 to $51.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.78% or 0.90 to hit $49.54 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1251.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP rose 1.47% to 0.8968.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 96.84.
