Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.76% or 1.06 points to trade at 39.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.11% or 0.050 points to end at 4.540 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 0.70% or 0.22 points to 31.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which fell 1.60% or 0.23 points to trade at 14.14 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.45% or 0.075 points to end at 5.110 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 1.29% or 0.42 points to 32.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 85 to 81 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; rising 2.76% or 1.06 to 39.51. Shares in Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 0.70% or 0.22 to 31.74.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.14% or 1.09 to $51.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.34% or 1.14 to hit $49.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.31% or 3.95 to trade at $1265.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1204, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8790.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 96.15.
