Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 0.66% or 0.25 points to trade at 38.09 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 0.44% or 0.03 points to end at 6.84 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was up 0.44% or 0.06 points to 13.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 1.56% or 0.085 points to trade at 5.380 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 1.32% or 0.18 points to end at 13.42 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.18% or 0.060 points to 5.035.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 96 to 80 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.88% or 1.37 to $46.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.20% or 1.48 to hit $44.84 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.17% or 2.35 to trade at $1342.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1229, while EUR/GBP rose 0.99% to 0.8659.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.38.
