Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.65% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 4.05% or 0.47 points to trade at 12.08 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 3.08% or 1.42 points to end at 47.50 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 2.60% or 0.210 points to 8.275 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 2.86% or 0.99 points to trade at 33.65 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 0.15% or 0.06 points to end at 41.41 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.50% or 0.18 points to 36.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 128 to 45 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) rose to 3-years highs; up 3.08% or 1.42 to 47.50.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.37% or 0.17 to $45.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.16% or 0.07 to hit $42.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.33% or 4.40 to trade at $1345.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1111, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8543.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 96.09.
