Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.31%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 3.77% or 0.48 points to trade at 13.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 2.70% or 0.69 points to end at 26.22 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 2.44% or 0.225 points to 9.440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which fell 0.43% or 0.11 points to trade at 25.57 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 0.04% or 0.002 points to end at 4.534 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.09% or 0.04 points to 43.93.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 122 to 52 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.12% or 0.06 to $51.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.57% or 7.15 to trade at $1263.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.0993, while EUR/GBP fell 0.95% to 0.8939.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 97.78.
