Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.98% or 0.1750 points to trade at 6.0550 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.11% or 0.170 points to end at 8.210 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.98% or 0.60 points to 30.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 0.67% or 0.035 points to trade at 5.210 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.05% or 0.005 points to end at 9.350 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 0.02% or 0.01 points to 40.63.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 61 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.16% or 1.12 to $53.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.67% or 1.33 to hit $51.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.71% or 8.95 to trade at $1260.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.9006.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 96.82.
