Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which rose 8.99% or 1.34 points to trade at 16.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) added 5.78% or 0.58 points to end at 10.62 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 4.69% or 0.350 points to 7.810 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.11% or 0.1240 points to trade at 3.8680 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 2.69% or 0.65 points to end at 23.54 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was down 1.93% or 0.41 points to 20.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 63 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 2.96% or 1.31 to $45.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.17% or 1.35 to hit $43.99 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.21% or 2.55 to trade at $1242.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1306, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.7742.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 94.43.
