Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.41% or 0.3900 points to trade at 7.6000 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 4.62% or 0.182 points to end at 4.120 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 2.95% or 0.23 points to 7.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 1.19% or 0.35 points to trade at 28.95 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) declined 0.14% or 0.03 points to end at 21.53 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 0.11% or 0.004 points to 3.490.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 117 to 60 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.95% or 0.23 to 7.86.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.95% or 0.52 to $54.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.52% or 0.27 to hit $51.95 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.15 to trade at $1169.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.69% to 1.0737, while EUR/GBP rose 0.84% to 0.8452.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 100.37.
