Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 10.96% or 0.513 points to trade at 5.195 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 2.22% or 0.75 points to end at 34.60 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 2.18% or 0.77 points to 36.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which fell 1.59% or 0.23 points to trade at 14.28 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) declined 0.82% or 0.34 points to end at 40.96 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 0.75% or 0.0400 points to 5.2750.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 123 to 57 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; rising 2.18% or 0.77 to 36.06.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.95% or 0.42 to $43.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.98% or 0.41 to hit $41.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.66% or 22.75 to trade at $1344.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.1080, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8478.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 96.23.
