Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 2.65% or 1.01 points to trade at 39.17 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.62% or 0.14 points to end at 5.29 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 2.10% or 0.125 points to 6.075 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 2.55% or 0.220 points to trade at 8.395 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 0.98% or 0.034 points to end at 3.438 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 0.58% or 0.060 points to 10.220.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 118 to 62 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 4.92% or 2.31 to $49.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 6.11% or 2.64 to hit $45.84 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.89% or 10.40 to trade at $1176.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1080, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.7227.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 96.61.
