Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 4.48% or 0.0940 points to trade at 2.1940 at the close. Meanwhile, Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V) added 2.88% or 0.30 points to end at 10.73 and KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) was up 2.52% or 0.86 points to 34.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TeliaSonera AB (HEL:TLS1V), which fell 1.76% or 0.082 points to trade at 4.590 at the close. Valmt (HEL:VALMT) declined 1.67% or 0.14 points to end at 8.56 and Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) was down 1.50% or 0.34 points to 22.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 69 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in TeliaSonera AB (HEL:TLS1V) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.76% or 0.082 to 4.590.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.77% or 0.36 to $47.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.72% or 0.32 to hit $44.42 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 2.07% or 23.10 to trade at $1136.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.1260, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.7405.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.62% at 95.75.
