Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.52% or 0.91 points to trade at 36.97 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.37% or 0.1250 points to end at 5.4000 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 2.27% or 0.59 points to 26.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 3.08% or 0.160 points to trade at 5.035 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.17% or 0.048 points to end at 4.046 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.22% or 0.07 points to 31.89.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 128 to 51 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; up 2.52% or 0.91 to 36.97. Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.37% or 0.1250 to 5.4000.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.39% or 1.06 to $45.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.75% or 1.15 to hit $42.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.15% or 2.05 to trade at $1342.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1075, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.8495.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 96.38.
