Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.81% or 0.1950 points to trade at 5.3150 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) added 2.94% or 1.06 points to end at 37.10 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.62% or 0.62 points to 38.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 6.83% or 0.343 points to trade at 4.682 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.25% or 0.062 points to end at 4.898 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was down 1.08% or 0.45 points to 41.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 53 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.81% or 0.1950 to 5.3150.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.04% or 0.88 to $43.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.13% or 0.87 to hit $41.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.95 to trade at $1368.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1135, while EUR/GBP rose 1.37% to 0.8483.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 95.67.
