Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.43% or 0.210 points to trade at 4.952 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.06% or 0.2250 points to end at 7.5700 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.71% or 1.07 points to 40.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.00% or 0.40 points to trade at 39.43 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.16% or 0.06 points to end at 38.52 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 0.12% or 0.05 points to 41.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 84 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.06% or 0.2250 to 7.5700.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.88% or 0.43 to $48.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.64% or 0.79 to hit $47.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.25 to trade at $1212.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.0627, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.8558.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 101.08.
