Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 8.74% or 0.300 points to trade at 3.734 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 2.98% or 0.160 points to end at 5.525 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 2.19% or 0.66 points to 30.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V), which fell 1.06% or 0.046 points to trade at 4.290 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.00% or 0.06 points to end at 5.46 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 0.94% or 0.28 points to 29.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 68 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.54% or 0.24 to $44.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.45% or 0.19 to hit $41.95 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.67% or 20.80 to trade at $1227.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1267, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.7957.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 94.85.
