Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.78% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.42% or 0.1680 points to trade at 3.2680 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) added 2.65% or 0.60 points to end at 23.21 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 2.61% or 0.084 points to 3.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V), which fell 1.24% or 0.058 points to trade at 4.612 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.49% or 0.16 points to end at 32.24 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was down 0.44% or 0.13 points to 29.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 64 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.43% or 1.19 to $49.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.82% or 1.30 to hit $47.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.59% or 18.10 to trade at $1117.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.0954, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57% to 0.7106.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 97.36.
