Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.70% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 5.00% or 1.47 points to trade at 30.89 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 3.24% or 1.05 points to end at 33.42 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 3.01% or 0.265 points to 9.065 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which fell 1.83% or 0.26 points to trade at 13.91 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.19% or 0.29 points to end at 24.13 and TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) was down 0.87% or 0.040 points to 4.560.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 81 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) rose to all time highs; rising 3.24% or 1.05 to 33.42.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.24% or 0.59 to $47.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.84% or 0.83 to hit $44.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.45% or 16.00 to trade at $1088.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.38% to 1.0733, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.7135.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.27% at 99.34.
