Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.54% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 12.18% or 0.426 points to trade at 3.924 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 2.23% or 0.75 points to end at 34.33 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.03% or 0.83 points to 41.67 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.36% or 0.0700 points to trade at 2.8940 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.94% or 0.10 points to end at 5.05 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was down 1.45% or 0.46 points to 31.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 106 to 78 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.05% or 0.47 to $44.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.22% or 0.09 to hit $41.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.30 to trade at $1076.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.74% to 1.0655, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.7012.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 99.61.
