Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 9.24% or 0.352 points to trade at 4.162 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.67% or 0.51 points to end at 31.02 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) was up 1.52% or 0.16 points to 10.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which fell 0.97% or 0.14 points to trade at 14.31 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 0.78% or 0.05 points to end at 6.38 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 0.24% or 0.09 points to 36.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 67 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.42% or 0.72 to $49.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.42% or 0.71 to hit $49.14 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.75 to trade at $1270.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.60% to 1.1309, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.7692.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.45% at 93.74.
