Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.37% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 2.94% or 0.73 points to trade at 25.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) added 2.19% or 0.30 points to end at 14.01 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 2.02% or 0.49 points to 24.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.50% or 0.2000 points to trade at 7.8050 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 2.30% or 0.84 points to end at 35.75 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 1.78% or 0.67 points to 36.99.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 55 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.58% or 0.31 to $54.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.34% or 0.68 to hit $51.52 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.25 to trade at $1161.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.73% to 1.0539, while EUR/GBP fell 0.73% to 0.8379.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 101.72.
