Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.71% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) added 1.84% or 0.18 points to end at 9.96 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.78% or 0.53 points to 30.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 1.57% or 0.052 points to trade at 3.258 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.42% or 0.075 points to end at 5.220 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 1.04% or 0.27 points to 25.61.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 114 to 57 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 1.98% or 0.83 to $42.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.79% or 0.71 to hit $40.43 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.28% or 15.90 to trade at $1259.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1417, while EUR/GBP fell 0.78% to 0.8015.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 93.93.
