Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which rose 10.75% or 2.04 points to trade at 21.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 6.88% or 0.555 points to end at 8.625 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.44% or 0.125 points to 5.245 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 13.89% or 5.93 points to trade at 36.76 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 5.59% or 2.28 points to end at 38.50 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 3.82% or 1.56 points to 39.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 106 to 75 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) rose to 5-year highs; up 10.75% or 2.04 to 21.02.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.19% or 0.61 to $50.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.09% or 0.55 to hit $49.97 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.80% or 10.15 to trade at $1273.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.0889, while EUR/GBP rose 0.46% to 0.8933.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 98.66.
