Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 4.48% or 0.52 points to trade at 12.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 1.03% or 0.39 points to end at 38.19 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.81% or 0.28 points to 34.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which fell 2.02% or 0.48 points to trade at 23.33 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.38% or 0.47 points to end at 33.65 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) was down 0.85% or 0.09 points to 10.56.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 67 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Valmt (HE:VALMT) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.48% or 0.52 to 12.12.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.60% or 0.81 to $49.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.60% or 0.80 to hit $49.16 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.57% or 20.25 to trade at $1271.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1253, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.7674.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 94.07.
