Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.21% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 3.30% or 0.77 points to trade at 24.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.19% or 0.29 points to end at 24.67 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.09% or 0.34 points to 31.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 2.99% or 0.106 points to trade at 3.444 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 2.06% or 0.23 points to end at 10.92 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 2.02% or 0.0760 points to 3.6880.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 78 and 25 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.69% or 0.34 to $49.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.42% or 0.21 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.75 to trade at $1213.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.1133, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.7610.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 95.53.
