Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.51% or 0.148 points to trade at 3.430 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 4.21% or 1.28 points to end at 31.68 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 4.00% or 0.42 points to 10.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which fell 2.17% or 0.088 points to trade at 3.966 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.72% or 0.140 points to end at 7.990 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.67% or 0.084 points to 4.946.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 69 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.72% or 0.140 to 7.990. Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.67% or 0.084 to 4.946.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.38% or 0.62 to $45.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.26% or 0.56 to hit $44.88 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.80% or 22.85 to trade at $1295.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1425, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.7911.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 93.65.
