Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V), which rose 3.04% or 0.32 points to trade at 10.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.11% or 0.072 points to end at 3.484 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.74% or 0.125 points to 7.310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which fell 3.71% or 0.90 points to trade at 23.38 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.77% or 0.57 points to end at 31.60 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.22% or 0.056 points to 4.538.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.22% or 0.056 to 4.538.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.71% or 0.35 to $49.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.09% or 0.52 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.48% or 6.15 to trade at $1280.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1339, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.7828.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 94.36.
