Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 1.74% or 165 points to trade at 9675 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 1.45% or 145 points to end at 10120 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 1.42% or 3.5 points to 249.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which fell 1.66% or 5.2 points to trade at 307.5 at the close. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 1.58% or 2.2 points to end at 137.2 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was down 1.38% or 2.7 points to 193.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 73 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.71% or 1.21 to $43.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.62% or 1.23 to hit $45.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.42% or 5.45 to trade at $1316.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 6.6492, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4414.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.70.
