Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.71% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 3.51% or 12.8 points to trade at 377.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) added 3.40% or 2.15 points to end at 65.45 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 3.31% or 14.9 points to 464.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CO:GEN), which fell 1.95% or 24.0 points to trade at 1205.0 at the close. DSV (CO:DSV) declined 1.64% or 5.0 points to end at 300.5 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) was down 1.43% or 125 points to 8615.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 99 to 54 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.70% or 0.34 to $48.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.13% or 0.55 to hit $49.16 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.63% or 7.70 to trade at $1221.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.12% to 6.6671, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4360.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 95.47.
