Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.64% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which rose 3.01% or 1.85 points to trade at 63.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) added 2.39% or 8.5 points to end at 364.4 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 2.30% or 10.1 points to 450.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which fell 0.48% or 0.16 points to trade at 33.38 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to end at 8740 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 0.04% or 0.1 points to 241.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.00% or 0.48 to $48.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.56% or 0.27 to hit $48.62 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.75% or 21.95 to trade at $1229.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.67% to 6.6720, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4368.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 95.56.
