Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Personal & Household Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (COP:CHRH), which rose 2.77% or 10.2 points to trade at 378.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (COP:GEN) added 1.78% or 11.5 points to end at 658.0 and Novo Nordisk B (COP:NOVOb) was up 1.78% or 7.0 points to 400.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (COP:DANSKE), which fell 0.85% or 1.8 points to trade at 210.1 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (COP:NDA) declined 0.30% or 0.25 points to end at 83.45 and Novozymes B (COP:NZYMb) was up 0.06% or 0.2 points to 348.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 91 to 60 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.48% or 1.19 to $49.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.04% or 0.56 to hit $53.85 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.20 to trade at $1095.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.32% to 6.7684, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4612.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 96.96.
