Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 2.16% or 26.0 points to trade at 1228.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 2.01% or 5.4 points to end at 273.7 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 1.98% or 9.2 points to 473.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which fell 0.95% or 0.33 points to trade at 34.49 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 0.08% or 0.2 points to end at 264.4 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) was 0.00% or 0.0 points to 125.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 42 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.30% or 0.94 to $41.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.16% or 0.93 to hit $44.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.65 to trade at $1369.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.14% to 6.6804, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4376.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 95.67.
