Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 3.43% or 7.9 points to trade at 238.0 at the close. Meanwhile, William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) added 2.41% or 2.8 points to end at 118.8 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was up 1.21% or 3.2 points to 267.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH), which fell 2.21% or 8.8 points to trade at 388.6 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) declined 1.70% or 21.0 points to end at 1216.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was down 1.49% or 7.0 points to 463.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 72 to 72 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 8.58% or 3.88 to $49.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 9.00% or 4.26 to hit $51.58 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.26% or 14.95 to trade at $1175.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.55% to 7.0245, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4405.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.58% at 101.57.
