Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 2.23% or 8.1 points to trade at 371.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 1.34% or 5.9 points to end at 445.0 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was up 0.94% or 6.0 points to 643.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which fell 4.97% or 14.0 points to trade at 267.6 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 2.72% or 255 points to end at 9125 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was down 2.31% or 210 points to 8865.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 51 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.73% or 0.33 to $45.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.89% or 0.42 to hit $47.35 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.20% or 14.95 to trade at $1265.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.07% to 6.5686, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4432.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.52% at 93.89.
