Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 11.04% or 26.7 points to trade at 268.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 4.43% or 52.0 points to end at 1226.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was up 4.17% or 10.3 points to 257.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which fell 8.51% or 40.1 points to trade at 431.0 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 4.40% or 420 points to end at 9115 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was down 4.36% or 395 points to 8675.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 75 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.49% or 0.67 to $45.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.32% or 0.61 to hit $46.65 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.15 to trade at $1277.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.83% to 6.8059, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4425.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 98.44.
