Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 3.00% or 260 points to trade at 8915 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 2.58% or 215 points to end at 8545 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 1.75% or 5.1 points to 295.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which fell 1.18% or 0.70 points to trade at 58.65 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 0.88% or 1.6 points to end at 179.7 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was down 0.84% or 2.3 points to 271.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 52 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.86% or 0.78 to $41.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.48% or 0.65 to hit $43.26 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.48% or 6.35 to trade at $1340.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.21% to 6.7123, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4383.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 96.60.
