Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (COP:JYSK), which rose 1.58% or 5.2 points to trade at 334.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (COP:NDA) added 1.32% or 1.15 points to end at 88.30 and Danske Bank A/S (COP:DANSKE) was up 0.97% or 1.9 points to 198.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tryg A/S (COP:TRYG), which fell 1.37% or 2.0 points to trade at 144.5 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (COP:CHRH) declined 0.43% or 1.4 points to end at 325.9 and GN Store Nord (COP:GN) was down 0.34% or 0.5 points to 144.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 76 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.66% or 0.96 to $58.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.44% or 0.93 to hit $64.94 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.22% or 2.70 to trade at $1209.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.53% to 6.7248, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4591.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 95.68.
