Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which rose 3.03% or 25.0 points to trade at 849.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) added 2.34% or 14.0 points to end at 612.0 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 1.73% or 4.6 points to 270.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which fell 1.94% or 175 points to trade at 8825 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 1.42% or 125 points to end at 8650 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was down 0.93% or 0.60 points to 64.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 86 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.23% or 1.34 to $40.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.51% or 1.05 to hit $40.74 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.95% or 24.30 to trade at $1224.30 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.33% to 6.6667, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4546.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 96.08.
