Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 2.45% or 11.4 points to trade at 476.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 1.77% or 4.7 points to end at 270.5 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was up 1.64% or 3.1 points to 192.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which fell 1.95% or 170 points to trade at 8530 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 1.90% or 160 points to end at 8240 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was down 1.45% or 0.50 points to 33.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 67 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.53% or 0.26 to $49.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.79% or 0.39 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.59% or 7.20 to trade at $1213.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.54% to 6.6790, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4367.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 95.53.
