Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Investment, Public Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.17% or 0.4 points to trade at 18.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 0.92% or 240.0 points to end at 26240.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.77% or 10.0 points to 1305.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which fell 3.42% or 620.0 points to trade at 17500.0 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 2.52% or 480.0 points to end at 18540.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was down 1.91% or 45.0 points to 2315.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 16 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 2.01% or 2.86 to $145.18 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.11% or 31.50 to hit $2818.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 1.22% or 16.35 to trade at $1357.55 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.79% to 3070.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.67% to 947.06.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.20% at 95.53.
