Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Public Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.70%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 8.82% or 500.0 points to trade at 6170.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 6.10% or 1000.0 points to end at 17400.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 5.07% or 180.0 points to 3730.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which fell 0.66% or 10.0 points to trade at 1510.0 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 0.61% or 360.0 points to end at 58940.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) was down 0.34% or 40.0 points to 11700.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 25 to 5 and 1 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.91% or 1.07 to $119.65 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.68% or 21.00 to hit $3125.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.78% or 8.80 to trade at $1124.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 2.01% to 3176.60, while BRL/COP rose 2.05% to 845.76.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 96.34.
