Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.46%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 3.63% or 60.0 points to trade at 1715.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 3.44% or 190.0 points to end at 5710.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 3.16% or 130.0 points to 4250.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which fell 1.18% or 0.2 points to trade at 16.8 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 0.14% or 5.0 points to end at 3470.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was up 0.31% or 5.0 points to 1595.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 26 to 3.
Shares in Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.18% or 0.2 to 16.8.
US coffee C for September delivery was down 2.10% or 2.77 to $129.25 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.95% or 31.00 to hit $3241.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.56% or 6.60 to trade at $1177.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.45% to 2547.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.53% to 827.73.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.11% at 95.57.
