Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.00%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 3.04% or 740.0 points to trade at 25100.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) added 2.19% or 140.0 points to end at 6530.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.81% or 35.0 points to 1970.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which fell 1.27% or 220.0 points to trade at 17140.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.08% or 70.0 points to end at 6390.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was down 0.62% or 10.0 points to 1610.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 17 to 10.
US coffee C for May delivery was up 1.42% or 1.95 to $139.60 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.09% or 2.50 to hit $2775.00 , while the April Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.00 to trade at $1195.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.39% to 2544.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.67% to 794.63.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 97.09.
