Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.54% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 7.37% or 550.0 points to trade at 8010.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 4.84% or 90.0 points to end at 1950.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 3.81% or 260.0 points to 7080.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which fell 1.24% or 15.0 points to trade at 1190.0 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) declined 1.20% or 300.0 points to end at 24700.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was down 0.89% or 160.0 points to 17900.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 21 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.94% or 2.44 to $128.47 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 3.00 to hit $3064.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.84% or 9.70 to trade at $1139.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.03% to 2870.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.26% to 756.08.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 95.41.
