Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were ALL America Latina Logistica SA (SA:RUMO3), which rose 6.19% or 0.380 points to trade at 6.520 at the close. Meanwhile, Braskem SA (SA:BRKM5) added 4.95% or 1.23 points to end at 26.10 and EDP - Energias do Brasil SA (SA:ENBR3) was up 1.95% or 0.29 points to 15.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bradespar SA (SA:BRAP4), which fell 3.76% or 0.42 points to trade at 10.74 at the close. Companhia Brasileira deDistribuicao (SA:PCAR4) declined 2.72% or 1.49 points to end at 53.24 and Gerdau SA (SA:GGBR4) was down 2.56% or 0.25 points to 9.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange by 221 to 93 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP - Energias do Brasil SA (SA:ENBR3) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.95% or 0.29 to 15.14.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 3.31% to 35.30.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.46% or 5.75 to $1254.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.01% or 0.52 to hit $50.83 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 1.00% or 1.53 to trade at $150.95 .
USD/BRL was down 0.24% to 3.1979, while EUR/BRL fell 1.01% to 3.5351.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 97.68.
