Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Real Estate and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were EcoRodovias SA (SA:ECOR3), which rose 2.76% or 0.24 points to trade at 8.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Estacio Participacoes SA (SA:ESTC3) added 2.74% or 0.50 points to end at 18.76 and Klabin Unt (SA:KLBN11) was up 2.18% or 0.37 points to 17.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metalurgica Gerdau SA (SA:GOAU4), which fell 3.67% or 0.130 points to trade at 3.410 at the close. Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais (SA:USIM5) declined 2.83% or 0.10 points to end at 3.43 and Qualicorp SA (SA:QUAL3) was down 2.38% or 0.45 points to 18.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange by 177 to 152 and 44 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 4.88% to 33.16.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.02% or 13.75 to $1330.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.22% or 1.02 to hit $44.91 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.22% or 0.34 to trade at $153.57 .
USD/BRL was down 0.31% to 3.2311, while EUR/BRL fell 0.63% to 3.6245.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 95.35.
