Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.43% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 1.01% or 0.120 points to trade at 11.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) added 0.75% or 0.10 points to end at 12.74 and Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI) was up 0.15% or 0.15 points to 101.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ageas (BR:AGES), which fell 2.70% or 0.870 points to trade at 31.310 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) declined 1.63% or 0.33 points to end at 19.95 and Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) was down 1.57% or 1.95 points to 122.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 115 to 32 and 7 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.08% or 1.05 to $1304.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.72% or 0.77 to hit $43.89 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.94% or 0.90 to trade at $45.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1117, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8882.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 97.07.
