Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Telenet Group (BR:TNET), which rose 2.14% or 0.98 points to trade at 47.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Proximus NV (BR:PROX) added 1.80% or 0.46 points to end at 26.00 and Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI) was up 1.59% or 1.80 points to 115.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KBC (BR:KBC), which fell 1.85% or 1.000 points to trade at 52.970 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) declined 1.18% or 0.24 points to end at 20.05 and NV Bekaert SA (BR:BEKB) was down 1.01% or 0.41 points to 39.99.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 91 to 59 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.17% or 2.15 to $1258.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.48% or 0.76 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.64% or 0.87 to trade at $52.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.1061, while EUR/GBP rose 0.46% to 0.9048.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 97.55.
