Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Beverage, Software & Computers and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL), which rose 2.72% or 0.20 points to trade at 7.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BRU:ABI) added 1.52% or 1.43 points to end at 95.72 and DIeteren SA (BRU:IETB) was up 1.27% or 0.445 points to 35.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ackermans V.Haaren (BRU:ACKB), which fell 0.65% or 0.85 points to trade at 130.65 at the close. Proximus NV (BRU:PROX) declined 0.61% or 0.18 points to end at 30.00 and KBC (BRU:KBC) was down 0.23% or 0.130 points to 56.260.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 85 to 63 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 2.16% or 24.10 to $1137.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.74% or 0.33 to hit $44.41 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.85% or 0.41 to trade at $47.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.1260, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.7404.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.63% at 95.73.
